Elephant & Castle has always been a special part of central London. It's a place with a vibrant history and an exciting future. Working in partnership with Southwark Council, Lendlease will deliver a £2.3 billion regeneration programme on 28 acres of land in the centre of Elephant & Castle creating one of the capital's most exciting places to live, work and visit.

The Park is at the heart of Elephant Park and forms the centrepiece of the development. The first phase opened in August 2017, and delivers the first 0.4 hectares of the final, completed park.

Open to everyone, with mature trees, play trails, a performance area and plenty of open green space to relax, the new park provides a fantastic new public space and a new green heart for the Elephant & Castle community.

  1. 3,000 new homes (25% affordable housing)

imageABOUT ELEPHANT PARK

Lendlease has been working in partnership with Southwark Council to deliver a £2.3 billion regeneration project in Elephant & Castle since 2010. The area has been an important part of London since Roman times, whether as a transport junction, a hub for entertainment and shopping or a place to call home. The project will breathe new life into this special part of Central London, building on Elephant & Castle’s heritage and creating thousands of high quality new homes, jobs, business opportunities and green space for Londoners.

The regeneration is split across three sites: Elephant Park, Trafalgar Place and One The Elephant. We have already completed the first phase of Elephant Park – South Gardens – as well as two earlier phases, Trafalgar Place and One The Elephant. You can find out more about each of these completed schemes below. That leaves a further four phases to be completed across Elephant Park, with a final completion date of 2025.
